Photoshop layers to After Effects composition exporter

Here's a small script that saves lot's of time when having to make animations for games. It saves all visible groups in PSD file as pngs and then assembles them to the same position in After Effects composition.

How it works:

- first unzip the scripts to any location from where it's convenient for you to open them in Photoshop and After Effects

- then prepare your PSD files so that the layers you need are all put to the groups named as you need

- run the PhotoshopSpriteExport.jsx  script and choose the folder where you're going to save the png images, each of which will correspond to the PSD group. Non-grouped layers or invisible groups won't be exported.

- open the After Effects project or create a new one, run the AfterEffectSpriteImport.jsx and select the .sprites files located in the same folder that you've chosen in the previous step:

- get the composition made of pngs that correspond to your PSD groups and are placed exactly as in your PSD file:

- Enjoy animating your assets!

The scripts may be downloaded here:

You can redistribute it whenever you wish with the link to this original page. The tool is completely free.
